Nursery Worker: St. Francis of Assisi, Indian Springs
The Episcopal Church of St. Francis of Assisi, located on Alabama Highway 119 in Indian Springs Village, is looking for a part-time worker for its parish nursery on Sunday mornings from 8:15am-12:15pm and during special parish events and activities.
Applicants must be, at least, 21 years of age and have experience caring for newborns to preschool age children. Applicants must be willing to submit to a criminal background check and attend a sexual misconduct prevention training session required by the Episcopal Church (USA). The applicant selected for this position must be reliable and willing to show up every Sunday and at other times after being given sufficient notice.
The wage for this position is set at $9.00/hour.

Choir Director: Trinity Church, Florence
Salary: $12K+, based on experience
The Choir Director position will be a part-time, salaried, staff position. This person is to be a member of, or have a working knowledge of, the Episcopal Church, serving as a Christian leader and minister to the choir and people of Trinity Episcopal Church, through the following:
· Oversee the development and implementation of all choral activities in the parish
· Work as part of a team, functioning as a full member of the parish staff, reporting to the Rector
· Work in conjunction with the Rector and Organist to direct and lead volunteer and professional choir members
· Work in conjunction with the Rector and Organist to choose hymns and service music for all services of the Church
· Attend weekly staff gatherings
· Direct the choir for the 10:30 am Sunday services as well as weekly rehearsals
· Direct the choir for special services throughout the year including, but not limited to: Lessons & Carols, Christmas Eve, Maundy Thursday, Easter Vigil, Evensongs, occasional 8:00 am Sunday services, and Sacred Concerts
· Choose choral music that is seasonally appropriate and in compliance with the Constitutions and Canons of the Episcopal Church
· Organization and filing of all music in choir library
· Attend training and comply with all diocesan regulations as required by the Diocese of Alabama
Consideration for this position requires the following:
· Experience in planning for and conducting choral groups and activities, especially as pertains to the Anglican/Episcopal Church
· Knowledge of the worship and liturgy of the Episcopal Church
· Experience in developing, managing, and executing a budget
· Ability to communicate via email
· Excellent verbal and writing skills
· Other related items as directed by the Rector
Trinity’s music is under the direction of the Rector. The Choir Director will meet with the Rector and Organist as often as necessary to plan the music. The Rector has responsibility to decide all music selected in conjunction with the worship and liturgy of this parish.
Vacation: The Choir Director will have two (2) weeks paid vacation.
Continuing Education: The Choir Director is expected to continue to improve his/her directing skills while employed by this parish. The Choir Director is encouraged to attend Diocesan Workshops, Summer Music Conferences, etc. A budget of $500 is available.

Organist
Salary: $10,750 +, based on experience
The Organist position will be a part-time, salaried, staff position. This person is to be a member of, or have a working knowledge of, the Episcopal Church, serving as a Christian leader and minister to the people of Trinity Episcopal Church. The Organist is expected to work in conjunction with the Rector and Choir Director to plan the music program for this parish.
Qualifications and Duties:
· Ability to play at a level required by style of hymns and music used for Episcopal style of worship
· Play for all 10:30 am Sunday services, occasional 8 am Sunday services, special services, choir rehearsals, and other times when music is needed in conjunction with the worship and liturgy of this parish
· Work as part of a team, functioning as a full member of the parish staff, reporting to the Rector
· Work in conjunction with the Rector and Choir Director to choose hymns and service music for all services of the Church
· Attend weekly staff gatherings
· Play for all funerals as needed
· Play for all weddings as schedule permits. A wedding fee of $250.00 will be payable at the rehearsal. A meeting will need to be scheduled with the bride at least 30 days prior to the service to plan appropriate music.
· Spend a minimum of ten (10) hours per week in rehearsal with choir and in service preparation
· Securing a substitute organist when needed
· Attend training and comply with all diocesan regulations as required by the Diocese of Alabama
Vacation: The Organist will have four (4) paid Sundays off per year with prior approval of the Rector.
